General questions
In one sentence, what is Pehmen?#
A trust layer over your existing payment stack that verifies who is being paid, decides whether each payment and payout should go ahead, releases seller money only when the evidence supports it, and records all of it. What Pehmen does.
Who is it built for?#
Platforms across Asia that onboard sellers and pay them out: ticketing, events and experiences marketplaces, and vertical software that pays organizers or resellers through licensed providers. A B2B payout or procurement platform has the same shape and is a named fallback.
Is Pehmen a payment provider?#
No. It does not process cards, hold balances or settle funds. Your provider does that. Pehmen decides and instructs. Compared to what you have.
Is it a fraud-detection tool?#
Not in the card-not-present sense. A fraud vendor scores the buyer at checkout. Pehmen's question is on the other side: is this seller who they say, is this payout destination theirs, should this payout go out now. The two are complementary.
What are the six words?#
ALLOW, STEP_UP, HOLD, REROUTE, REVIEW, DENY. Every decision the Gate makes is exactly one of them, with reason codes from a fixed registry of sixty and the version of the rules that produced it. When two rule sets disagree, the stricter wins in that order. Reason codes.
What is a 'trace'?#
When a payment is routed, the engine stores every connection it considered, the nine filters each passed or failed, the score of the survivors and the winner. The payment page renders that record. It does not recompute it, so what you see later is what was decided then. Route and trace a payment.
Which providers are supported?#
Stripe and HitPay for taking payments, Airwallex for paying out, with Stripe and HitPay sandboxes and the Airwallex sandbox in Test. PayNow is a payment method, not a provider; it rides on a provider connection that supports it. Connect a provider.
What does it store about my customers?#
Your references (order, payment, customer, seller), amounts, currency, category, channel, and every decision and trace. Never a card number, never a CVV, never a bank account number. Data and hosting.
What does it cost?#
Pricing is not published. Running a trial in Test is self-serve and free; the commercial conversation follows a qualified trial. Pilot and activation.
Is there an SLA, a data-residency commitment or a certification?#
Not published today. Pehmen stores no card data and no bank account numbers, which narrows the compliance question but does not answer it. Boundaries keeps the list current.
Are there customers I can talk to?#
Not yet, and the product says so rather than inventing any. There are no testimonials, case studies or benchmarks anywhere on this site or the marketing site. The seeded demo is labelled synthetic.
Why is it called Pehmen?#
It is a working name. Final clearance of the product name and the intended peh.men domain is pending.
How do I try it?#
Open the seeded demo (no account, two minutes), then create an account and connect your own provider sandbox. The manual's first routed payment is the walkthrough; it is designed to take under thirty minutes without talking to anyone.
Where do I report a mistake on this site?#
If a sentence here promises more than the product can back, it is a mistake. Use the contact on the marketing site and quote the page.
