Statuses

The dashboard colours a status by its class: green for a settled good state, blue for in progress, amber for waiting or impaired, red for terminal failure. This page lists them by object.

Payment intent

Status	Class	Meaning
CREATED	in progress	Recorded, not routed. Confirm it.
REQUIRES_PAYMENT_METHOD	in progress	Confirmable once a method is chosen.
EVALUATING	in progress	Confirmed; the Gate is deciding, or has parked it for review.
REQUIRES_ACTION	waiting	The customer must complete 3DS or a QR, or the caller must re-confirm after STEP_UP.
PROCESSING	in progress	Routed. An attempt is reserved and being dispatched.
OUTCOME_UNKNOWN	waiting	The provider did not answer clearly. Queried on a backoff; never retried blindly.
AUTHORIZED	good	Funds held (manual capture). Capture or cancel.
CAPTURED	good	Money moved.
PARTIALLY_REFUNDED / REFUNDED	good	Refunds settled.
CANCELLED	terminal	Cancelled before capture.
DENIED	terminal	The Gate said DENY.
FAILED	terminal	Declined, no route, or a technical failure.

Payment attempt

Status	Meaning
PLANNED	Reserved by the router; the worker has not claimed it.
DISPATCHED	Sent to the provider.
REQUIRES_ACTION	The provider wants the customer to do something.
AUTHORIZED / CAPTURED	Success.
DECLINED_SOFT	Retriable (insufficient funds, issuer unavailable, try again later, velocity). One retry on the same connection.
DECLINED_HARD	Never retried (generic decline, stolen or lost card, fraud suspected, invalid or expired card, duplicate).
FAILED_TECHNICAL	Timeout, rate limit, provider 5xx, credential revoked, configuration error. A pre-send failure may fail over to another connection if no card was collected.
OUTCOME_UNKNOWN → QUERYING	Being queried: 30 s, 2 m, 10 m, 30 m, 2 h.
MANUAL_REVIEW	The query budget ran out, or a success contradicted a recorded decline. No self-service resolution exists yet; raise it with the platform team.
CANCELLED	Voided.

Refund

REQUESTED → PROCESSING → SUCCEEDED | FAILED | OUTCOME_UNKNOWN → QUERYING → MANUAL_REVIEW. A FAILED refund does not consume the refundable balance; MANUAL_REVIEW does.

Connection

Status	Meaning
ACTIVE	Validated and dispatchable.
DEGRADED	Dispatchable only for known-safe impairments (webhook scope missing, provider timeout, rate limit, 5xx). Re-validate to clear.
SUSPENDED	Not dispatchable. Resumable.
REVOKED	Terminal. Credentials and webhook secrets revoked.

Policy version

DRAFT → VALIDATED → PENDING_APPROVAL → PUBLISHED → RETIRED (replaced) or ROLLED_BACK (displaced by a rollback). A retired or rolled-back version can be rolled back to.

Beneficiary

REGISTERING → ACTIVE (or REGISTRATION_UNKNOWN, FAILED). PENDING while proposed by a change; RETIRED after being replaced.

Beneficiary change

REQUESTED → PENDING_COOLING_OFF → PENDING_APPROVAL → APPLIED. Side exits: REJECTED (Gate DENY, or an approver), CANCELLED (withdrawn).

Payout instruction

Status	Meaning
EVALUATING	Created; the Gate is deciding.
HELD	The Gate said STEP_UP, HOLD, REVIEW or REROUTE. Reasons on the record.
DENIED	The Gate said DENY.
APPROVED	ALLOW, or approved by a person (two above the threshold).
SENT_TO_PROVIDER	Released. Request id persisted before dispatch.
PROCESSING	The provider is moving the money.
SUCCEEDED	The provider reported PAID.
FAILED	The provider reported failure.
FAILED_AFTER_PAID	PAID, then FAILED. A reconciliation exception and a case are opened.
OUTCOME_UNKNOWN → QUERYING	Being queried.
MANUAL_REVIEW	Query budget exhausted. A platform administrator resolves it.
CANCELLED	Cancelled before any money moved.

Case

OPEN → INVESTIGATING ⇄ ACTIONED → RESOLVED → CLOSED. A resolved case reopens on a recurrence or an overturned appeal. Decisions: CONFIRMED, OVERTURNED, NO_ACTION, EXPIRED.

Appeal

OPEN → UNDER_REVIEW → UPHELD | OVERTURNED, or EXPIRED when the deadline passes.

Evidence

ACTIVE, SUPERSEDED, CORRECTED, TOMBSTONED.

Reconciliation exception

OPEN → INVESTIGATING → RESOLVED | ACCEPTED_VARIANCE.

Webhook delivery

QUEUED → DELIVERING → DELIVERED | FAILED (retried) → DISABLED (attempts exhausted). Replay returns it to QUEUED.

Provider webhook (inbox)

RECEIVED, PROCESSING, PROCESSED, FAILED, IGNORED (a genuine event for a revoked connection).

Approval request

PENDING → APPROVED | REJECTED | EXPIRED (24 hours).

Entitlement

NONE → REQUESTED → GRANTED → REVOKED.
